Expansion Joint for Concrete

Description

Homex 300 is a pre-molded wood fiber strip for use in concrete and masonry joints to compensate for contraction and expansion caused by temperature change. Because of its resilient composition, Homex is installed neatly and easily, without danger of misalignment or breakage. It will not extrude in hot weather nor crack in cold weather. The natural gray color blends with concrete to further enhance the appearance of the finished job.

Uses

Homex 300 Expansion Joint Filler has been used successfully in varied installations ranging from those measured in feet to those measured in miles. Homex may be used in any building construction where masonry or concrete walls meet outside aprons, walks, patios or steps. It is ideal for swimming pool aprons, outdoor terraces, driveways and retaining walls. In general construction, Homex has been used successfully in concrete floors and walls, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, abutments, ramps, retaining walls, gutters, curbs and pavements.

Advantages

Because Homex is lightweight, non-bituminous, and pre-formed in several thicknesses, it is incomparably easy to install, cleanly - without misalignment, distortion, breakage, or mess. It maintains resiliency at any temperature - without becoming soft in hot water or brittle in cold weather. Homex is integrally protected against termites, rot and fungi. It is compatible with polymerized sealants where their use is required.
